Free English and Spanish qualification for tour guides in Brazil

Nov 14, São Paulo: Tour guides in Brazil have yet another professional qualification opportunity, offered free of charge by the Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Tocantins (IFTO).
The qualification course in English and Spanish was designed to meet the growing demand in the Brazilian market for foreign tourists. This training is one of the axes of action of the Resumption of Tourism, launched last Tuesday (10).

The courses, which were structured in the EAD (Distance Learning) and semi-presential format, have a 200-hour workload and counted on the participation of the National Federation of Tourism Guides (Fenagtur) in the survey of demands for job vacancies. New classes are scheduled to open in 2021.
For the minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, professional qualification plays a fundamental role in the resumption of tourism and also in increasing productivity and competitiveness of the economy in destinations.
