Rahul Gandhi hops onto BMTC bus in Bengaluru, tells commuters of Congress's promises
Rahul, who is in the poll-bound state for campaigning, took a BMTC (Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation) bus from Cunningham Road.
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hopped onto a BMTC bus in Bengaluru and interacted with commuters on Monday.
Before he got on to the bus, the former party chief stopped for a cup of coffee at a 'Cafe Coffee Day' outlet on Cunningham Road.
"They candidly discussed topics including the rising price of essentials, the 'Gruhalakshmi' scheme (Rs 2,000 per month for woman head of household) and the Congress's 'guarantee' of free travel for women in BMTC and KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) buses," Congress leaders who accompanied Rahul Gandhi, said.
As he got off the bus at Lingarajapuram, he again struck a conversation with a woman outside.
The high-octane campaigning for the Karnataka Assembly elections is scheduled to end today.
