Itinerant Senasp: initiative seeks solutions to improve public security in the country

Federal Government representatives will tour the five regions and hear the main local demands

Oct 7, Justice and Security: Improve public security across the country. This is the goal of Senasp Itinerante, an unprecedented initiative by the National Public Security Secretariat, which started this week. Representatives of the Federal Government are going to tour the five Brazilian regions to hear the main demands of the State Secretaries of Public Security on the challenges in the sector. The project will help in the elaboration of specific public policies for each region.

"We understand that states and regions have characteristics and similarities," said Renato Paim, national secretary of Public Security at the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

And the Senasp Itinerante action started in Goiânia, Goiás. Representatives of the National Public Security Secretariat are there, until next Thursday (8), to hear Secretaries of Public Security from the states of the Midwest Region, general commanders of the Military, Civilian and Military Fire Departments.

Until November, the action will cover four more capitals: Belo Horizonte (MG), Natal (RN), Rio Branco (AC) and Curitiba (PR).

“We want to check those structuring demands that are able to serve a greater number of possible states, so that we can place these demands on the Senasp team, think about them and make deliveries directed to the demands of the states. It is not for us to aim for results that are not linked to the demands of the states, ”added Paim.

In addition to listening to local demands, Senasp Itinerante will also present to the states the structuring programs of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, divided into seven themes. These are products that address, for example, the strengthening of security institutions; the valorization of professionals in the sector and violence prevention policies.

Sinesp Field Agent

During Senasp Itinerante, the Sinesp Agente de Campo project will also be presented to state managers, a free digital tool that promises to streamline the work of professionals who are part of the Single Public Security System (SUSP). The idea is that the tool will have more than one hundred thousand users by the first half of November.

The Field Agent is an application that allows, for example, police access, in real-time, to police reports, arrest warrants and detailed search for stolen vehicles. It is more agile and effective in serving the population. Sinesp Agente de Campo has already been tested in Pará, Tocantins and Acre. 

"It is a tool that we aim to be a factor in the integration of all federative entities, of those people who are on the edge working on a daily basis", concluded the secretary.

The application is part of Sinesp Big Data, a project of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security aimed at the integration and analysis of data in national public security.
