Federal Police breaks the record of seizures of drug trafficking assets
The guideline that focuses efforts on the equity decapitalization of organized crime shows highly positive results.
Nov 14, Brasilia: The Federal Police broke the historical record of seizures of assets that were in the possession of criminal organizations that operate in drug trafficking. So far, in 2020, more than R $ 666 million have been seized.
Real estate, luxury cars, speedboats, planes, helicopters, jewellery were seized, as well as blocking current accounts and cash.
This result was possible with the outbreak of major operations to combat trafficking and organized crime, focusing mainly on the decapitalization of criminal organizations, the arrest of the main leaders and international police cooperation.
