Entourage ends mission in Amazonas
On the last day of the trip of representatives of the Federal Government and foreign ambassadors, the group met Maturacá and São Gabriel da Cachoeira

Nov 8, Amazon: On the third and last day of the trip to the state of Amazonas, foreign ambassadors, ministers of state and the vice president of the Republic, Hamilton Mourão, visited the municipalities of São Gabriel da Cachoeira and Maturacá.
The mission, led by Hamilton Mourão, who is also president of the National Council for the Legal Amazon, began on the last 4th and aimed to show representatives of other countries the Amazon reality and the actions implemented by the Federal Government to preserve the region.

This Friday (6), the group started the day visiting the 5th Army Frontier Platoon, in the municipality of Maturacá. Soon after, he left for São Gabriel da Cachoeira, located on the border with Colombia and Venezuela, in the extreme northwest of Brazil. The municipality is also known as Cabeça do Cachorro, due to its shape similar to that of the animal's head. 46 thousand inhabitants live there. Nine out of ten are indigenous or descendants of indigenous people.
In São Gabriel da Cachoeira, the last part of the mission, the group participated in graduation at the 2nd Jungle Infantry Brigade; and he also visited the Ministry of Health's House of Support for Indigenous Health.
The group includes ambassadors from the following countries: South Africa, Spain, Peru, Colombia, Canada, Sweden, Germany, the European Union, the United Kingdom, France and Portugal, in addition to the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO).
