“It was prepared based on biosafety documents and protocols and contains technical standards for health safety, recommendations for social and pedagogical actions to be observed by members of the school community,” said the secretary of basic education of the Ministry of Education, Izabel Lima Pessoa.

The guide details hygiene measures to be adopted, disinfection of environments, the distance between students in the classroom, use of school transport, the library, personal protective equipment and collective protection and room ventilation.

Recommendations

As a measure of hygiene and environmental protection, for example, a recommendation is to establish a hand hygiene routine at different times during school activities. And also have a schedule of regular cleaning of the environment with special attention to bathrooms, door handles, desks, switches and teaching material.

The document also provides pedagogical guidance and what should be observed before deciding to return to class in person, how to assess the conditions of the school structure, define how the students' feeding process will be and analyze whether there are conditions for training and qualification. the academic community.

For schools to be able to put the measures into practice, R $ 525 million will be released to 117,000 schools through the Emergency Money Direct Program (PDDE).

“In this program, we are going to allocate resources in the order of R $ 525 million and have the main objective of implementing structured pedagogical projects. In practice, they aim to provide all the necessary support so that schools can safely resume school activity. These funds will probably be transferred in the second half of October, ”explained the secretary of basic education, Izabel Lima Pessoa.
