Resumption of Tourism

Last Tuesday (10), the Federal Government launched the Resumption of Tourism and the campaign “Travel with responsibility and rediscover Brazil”. It is a national alliance that, with security and responsibility, seeks to accelerate the recovery of the sector and reduce the socioeconomic impact of Covid-19.

Led by the Ministry of Tourism, the initiative brings together efforts from the public and private sectors, the third sector and the S System so that tourism fully resumes activities in a gradual and planned manner, again generating jobs and income in the country.

The Resumption of Tourism brings together a set of programs, projects and actions that range from reinforcing the concession of credit lines to capitalize companies in the sector and preserve jobs to works to improve the infrastructure of tourist destinations.

Qualification actions for workers and service providers are also foreseen, both in the offer of courses for the adoption of health protocols that guarantee safety for tourists and workers in the segment and for the improvement of service, considering market trends. An example is a partnership between the Ministry of Tourism and the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Tocantins (IFTO), which offers a qualification course in English and Spanish for tourist guides.
