Brazil govt will deliver residential to more than 350 people of low-income families in Praia Grande

Sao Paulo: The Ministry of Regional Development (MDR) delivered 90 apartments to low-income families living in Praia Grande, on the coast of the state of São Paulo. Residencial Jardim Imperador III will benefit approximately 350 people and received a total of R $ 10.3 million in investments, including state compensation.
The national housing secretary of the MDR, Alfredo dos Santos, was in the condominium to participate in the ceremony of handing over the keys to the families. “The ministry has been striving to reduce the housing deficit in Brazil. Enabling low-income families to have access to their own homes is essential, ”he said.
One of the beneficiaries of the new home is the freelance professional Alessandra dos Santos Silva. “I am very happy, this house is exactly what I wanted. Now we will be able to live much better than we did before ”, he celebrated.
Residencial Jardim Imperador III consists of three five-storey apartment blocks. Each unit is 43.31 m², with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry area. The condominium already has water, sewage, drainage, electricity and public lighting, paving and urbanization networks.
Housing production in 2020
In 2020, the MDR delivered 415.4 thousand homes, of which 52.3 thousand were destined for low-income families. More than 1.66 million people had their own home dream come true. Also, 30 thousand units were resumed, which were paralyzed and will be able to reach 120 thousand people.
