The program turned 85 in June this year and announces the actions of the Three Powers

A Voz do Brasil
Only educational radio stations must maintain the start of the broadcast at 19h.

Oct 25, The ordinance that establishes the conditions, criteria and procedures for flexibility and exemption from the mandatory retransmission schedule of the radio program Voz do Brasil by radio broadcasting stations are published in this Friday (23) edition of the Official Gazette of the Union.

In 2018, the law that made the program schedule more flexible was passed, which, until then, had been broadcast by broadcasters, obligatorily, from 7 pm to 8 pm. Thus, the retransmission can start between 19h and 21h, local time.

Only educational radio stations must maintain the start of broadcasting at 7 pm, with the exception of those linked to legislative houses, which may start the program until 10 pm on days when there is a deliberative session. The other radio stations will be able to choose between 19h and 21h to start the transmission.

Flexibility and dismissal

The text of the ordinance published on Friday by the Ministry of Communications explains that flexibilization is the retransmission of the A Voz do Brasil program on the same day, but at a time different from those provided for in the ordinance. And the waiver, the release of relaying the program at any time of a given day.

It is defined that the Ministry of Communications will annually publish a public consultation to prepare and update the list of approved cases of flexibility or exemption from the program's retransmission.

“Flexibility suggestions or dismissal will only be accepted when proven to be an exceptional public interest in the dissemination of events, demonstrations or events of great national or state, district or municipal public repercussion. The absolute incompatibility with the original schedules for retransmission of A Voz do Brasil ”, records the ordinance.

States, the Federal District, municipalities or entities representing the broadcasting sector at the national level may, at any time, request the inclusion of additional cases of flexibility or exemption from the retransmission of the A Voz do Brasil program.

The list of approved cases for flexibilization or dismissal will be available on the website of the Ministry of Communications, with the calendar of dates and times foreseen and the scope of flexibilization or dismissal, whether national, state, district or municipal. No broadcaster may fail to broadcast the program outside the established discharge dates, or without express authorization from the ministry.

Regulation of mandatory transmission rules

In August, the Federal Government had regulated the rules for the mandatory retransmission of A Voz do Brasil, authorizing radio stations to adjust their programming schedule and retransmit the official news between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
