Dmytro Kuleba discuss Russia's destabilizing action at extraordinary NATO-Ukraine commission meeting
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba took part in an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission convened on Ukraine’s request under Article 15 of the NATO-Ukraine Charter on Distinctive Partnership.

April 15, Kyiv: The NATO Allies and Ukraine addressed Russia’s latest military activity, which has significantly increased over the past weeks in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and along its state border.
Mr. Kuleba briefed the Allies on Russia’s military buildup, intensified disinformation and highly belligerent rhetoric of Russian officials threatening Ukraine with war. He shared his assessment of Russia’s motivation behind these moves and the goals it tries to reach. Foreign Minister Kuleba offered ten practical steps the Allies can take to support Ukraine.
The NATO Allies reaffirmed their support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. They underlined that NATO does not and will not recognise the attempted annexation of Crimea and condemned Russia’s continued destabilisation in the east of Ukraine.
Ukraine and the Allies agreed that NATO’s long-standing policy of supporting Ukraine in the face of Russia’s aggressive actions will not change. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, who chaired the meeting, affirmed that NATO will continue providing political and practical support to Ukraine.
The Sides urged Russia to end its provocations and threats, deescalate the situation on the ground and immediately recommit to the ceasefire in the east of Ukraine to abide by the Minsk agreements.
Additional: Article 15 of the NATO-Ukraine Charter on Distinctive Partnership prescribes that NATO and Ukraine can use a crisis consultative mechanism to consult together whenever Ukraine perceives a direct threat to its territorial integrity, political independence, or security.
