Dedicated pop-up COVID-19 testing clinics will open on key freight routes to keep workers COVIDSafe.
August 24, NSW: The new pop-up testing clinics in Narrandera and Tarcutta will provide an easy way for freight workers to get tested for COVID-19.
The pop-up testing clinics will open seven days a week, operating from 9 am to 4 pm. The hours of operation will be extended from Monday 31 August 2020.
The NSW Government is working with the freight industry to put in place safety measures for freight workers during the pandemic.
The newly developed Freight Movement Code for the Domestic Border Controls will encourage workers to carry out voluntary COVID-19 testing every seven days.
More freight pop-up clinics will be established in the coming weeks. The new locations will expand across Greater Sydney, Central West and South East NSW.
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said the additional pop-up clinics will make it easier for workers in the industry to get tested.
