Companies reinforce the product supply capacity, essential for coping with the disease in hospitals in the country.
April 27, Sao Paulo: The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has granted three new operating authorizations (AFE) to companies that manufacture medicinal oxygen. With this, the country has reinforcements in the supply of the product, classified as a medicine and essential to hospital services, especially in this moment of the Covid-19 crisis.
The companies that received the authorizations were Oxi-Borges Comércio de Gases Industrial e Medicinais Eireli, Oeste Comércio de Gases Derivados do Ar Eireli and Oxigênio Cariri.
According to the Coordination of Authorization for the Operation of Companies (Coafe), linked to the General Management of Sanitary Inspection and Inspection (GGFIS), the authorizations were approved according to the flow of prioritization of demands related to facing the health crisis, established in March 2020.
The measure speeded up the fulfilment of this type of request, with the publication of the decision on AFE within two working days after the prioritization request. It is important to note that every company that promotes activities for the manufacture, filling or filling of medicinal gases, including medicinal oxygen, must have the AFE, granted upon meeting the technical and administrative requirements required by the Agency.
