Offer options can now be viewed
Jan 8, São Paulo: The number of scholarships offered for the first selection of 2021 of the University for All Program (Prouni) will be 162,022 vacancies, 76,855 full scholarships and 85,167 partial scholarships.
The Ministry of Education (MEC) has published all the information about the vacancies available so that those interested in competing for a scholarship can consult, in advance, the options offered for the whole country.
The registration period is from January 12th to 15th.
The consultation of alternative offers is available on the Prouni page. The search can be done by type of scholarship (full and partial), modality (in person and distance), course, shift, institution and location of the campus. The states with the highest number of scholarships offered are: São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná and the Rio Grande do Sul.
To apply for full scholarships, the student must prove gross monthly family income, per person, of up to 1.5 minimum wages. For partial grants, the gross monthly family income must be up to 3 minimum wages per person. The candidate must also have taken the most recent edition of the National High School Exam (Enem) and have achieved at least 450 points on average. In addition, the student cannot have scored zero in the essay.
Only for the selection process of the Prouni of the 1st semester of 2021, will be used, exceptionally, the notes of the Enem of 2019, since the result of the Enem of 2020 will be published in a date after the selection process.
The MEC will carry out the next selection process of Prouni, referring to the 2nd edition of 2021, after the release of the Enem result, when Enem's 2020 grades will be required, whose tests will be applied from January 17, 2021.
To participate in Prouni, it is also necessary to meet at least one of the following conditions: have completed high school in a public school or in a private school, provided that you are a full scholarship holder at the respective institution. This condition is valid both for those who attended all high school in a private school, as well as for those who had only part of their studies in a private school, the other part is in a public school.
The results of the first call will be announced on January 19.
Prouni also offers two other opportunities for candidates to apply for scholarships, which are the 2nd call and the waiting list.
